Looking to buy a home in the Texas Hill Country? Here are a few move-up neighborhoods to get you started!
Don’t get us wrong...we love San Antonio. But sometimes, even the noise of the city can’t drown out that clear-cut, crystalline call of the Texas Hill Country.
For those interested in making that first, exciting move north of the Alamo City, we’ve compiled a list of best Boerne neighborhoods for San Antonio transfers. From beautiful floor plans and luxury amenities to historic architecture and great schools, take a look at where you might fit in the Boerne community!
1. Napa Oaks
With a median listing price in the mid-$300k’s, Napa Oaks lives up to its elegant name without breaking the bank. Minutes from the heart of Boerne, this scenic community boasts custom estates, generous lots, mature oaks, and (of course) sweeping views of the Hill Country landscape.
Considered Boerne’s first “truly master-planned community,” Esperanza features 1850’s mission-inspired architecture and sprawling, mature oaks. The community’s strategically designed layout is walkable and centralized, allowing residents to utilize over 300 acres of parks and open space, 15 miles of trails, elaborate amenities, and more. Most homes for sale in this neighborhood range from $350k-$500k.
Split into two different subdivisions, Sablechase has the feeling of a small, intimate community with the amenities and quality of a master-planned subdivision. Local amenities include sports courts (tennis, volleyball, and basketball), playground, community center, and an exclusive neighborhood pool. Sablechase Classic and Sablechase Premier each offer various floor plans that range from the mid-$200k’s to the $350k’s.
Located in the eastern section of the city, Trails of Herff Ranch is considered a local favorite among Boerne developments. With an on-site elementary school and a private recreation area, Herff Ranch still manages to be one of the most affordable neighborhoods on our list! Homes are generally priced in the low $200,000s to the mid-$300,000s.
Located just south of Boerne on I-10, Balcones Creek is a new area community boasting top builders (Sitterle, Highland, Ryland, and M/I Homes), resort-style amenities, and generous Hill Country home sites. The artfully-designed community features sprawling parks with Southern oak trees, a swimming pool, community club, playground, and an extensive network of trails. Homes in this neighborhood tend to be priced for move-up buyers, with sales hovering between $400k-$500k.
Tucked away in a peaceful valley off I-10 (between Fair Oaks Ranch and the Dominion), Fallbrook is an idyllic gated community featuring resort-style amenities and a luxury lifestyle. Created by premier builder Dr. Horton, this neighborhood offers a wide variety of floor plans priced between $250k and $450k.
Located in the historic small town of Boerne, The Ranches at Creekside offers the peaceful surroundings of the Texas Hill Country with all of the convenience of city living. With a focus on the outdoors and open spaces, the picturesque community provides stunning views and a charming place to call home.
With homes generally priced in the $400k’s, Trailwood is an upscale take on affordable Hill Country living. Its outlying location offers mature oaks, generous, private lots, and plenty of Hill Country views.
Built on tradition, small-town values, a remarkable culture, and a legacy of excellence, Boerne truly offers a piece of Texas unlike any other. The town’s top-tier education system, incredible location, and gorgeous homes make it the perfect place to settle into the Hill Country lifestyle.
