Five Things to Do in Boerne This Weekend (November 20-22)

People love Boerne for the small town atmosphere, hill country views, and quaint downtown. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t also a lot to do any given day! This weekend is no exception as there are a variety of different “things” happening in and around town. Boerne is known for rich heritage, great location, and an active community, all of which are showcased this weekend. No need to research, five of the best fun things to do in Boerne this weekend are described below. Hopefully this list will make planning a perfect Texas Hill Country weekend a little more simple!

1. Cheer on The Champion Chargers

There are few things as uniquely Texan as high school football in November. At this point of the season entire towns mobilize to support their teams in their quest for a State Championship. Playoff games have an atmosphere that compares to college football far more than a typical high school sporting event. Every team in the state spent the past year working towards playing this far into the season and only a few remain hoping to play into December. Luckily, Boerne Champion has earned the right to be called one of those teams. The Chargers will fight to continue their season this Friday in a do or die game against Georgetown this Friday night!

When: Friday at 7:30pm.

Where: Alamo Stadium, 110 Tuleta Dr, San Antonio, TX

2. Take a Quick Trip to Fredericksburg

This time of year the weather is great to take a hike up Enchanted Rock or to enjoy an afternoon drink in Luckenbach. If that’s not your style, Main Street Fredericksburg has plenty of unique shops and restaurants to enjoy. All said, Fredericksburg makes for the perfect Boerne stay-cation destination.

When: All weekend long.

This weekend Loyd Bonham Band will be playing oldies on the patio to help celebrate. To sweeten the deal, all drinks will cost just a dollar throughout the event. Don’t miss out on a celebration sure to be fun for the whole family.
