Boerne Fresh: Our Picks from the Farmers Market at the Cibolo

A Hill Country town is only as good as its Farmers Market...right?

If access to homegrown and handmade treasures truly is the measure of an authentic small-town experience, we can proudly say that Boerne is a bona fide Texas treasure.

In case you haven’t managed to swing by the Farmers Market at the Cibolo yet (the 2018 season began on March 3rd), we’re here to push you out the door and dispel the whole “it’s not worth it to wake up before noon on a Saturday” thing.

Trust us, it is.

From local honey to farm-fresh eggs (yes, ugh, they ARE better) to baked goods to veggies and produce galore, the Farmers Market at the Cibolo is a veritable gem among Farmers Markets, offering genuinely high-quality products made by local hands in local fields. (All in a gorgeous area, might we add: the historic homestead overlooks 60 acres of wild, open lands, marked trails, and wildlife habitats.)

Every Saturday from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM (rain or shine), the Historic Herff Farm hosts artisans and farmers selling all things local. Admission is free, and friendly pets on leashes are welcome.
