Has the Paddle Boarding trend caught your eye? More than just a killer core workout, this surprisingly easy-to-learn water sport will take over Boerne Lake on Saturday! During the very first Boerne Paddle Battle, everyone from novice to professional will have the chance to race towards the finish line. With both a “Fun 5K” and an “Elite 10K” race, all ages and “paddle craft” are welcome! This family-friendly event will also feature awards, food trucks, drinks, vendors, live music, and a raffle at Random Beer Garden.

Proceeds from the Paddle Battle will benefit children of the Roy Maas Youth Alternatives on the Meadowland campus. This 40-acre campus has been a refuge for abused and neglected children and youth in Boerne for over 30 years. Throughout those years, many children have found healing, hope, love, and support right here in our Boerne community. Since 1986, over five thousand children have been served. With the proceeds from Saturday’s event, the Meadowland Campus can continue working to end the cycle of abuse: restoring hope, one paddle at a time.
