Looking for locally sourced produce, meat, and eggs? The Farmer’s Market at the Cibolo is open every Saturday- rain or shine! This Fall, the Market is offering up a wide variety of seasonal vegetables, herbs and fruits locally grown by Hill Country farmers, as well as gourmet sauces, fresh poultry, farm fresh eggs, artisan coffee, fresh kolaches, organic personal care products, goats milk products, native potted plants, and more. So head to the Farmers Market and grab some fresh bread, hot coffee, or whatever else your heart desires on an Autumn Hill Country morning! Besides shopping, market activities include live music, gardening and cooking workshops, and children’s crafts.
This week’s workshops and classes include “Composting 101” and “Kid’s Club: Pollinator Scavenger Hunt”! Composting 101, which will take place at 10:30 in The Garden Barn, will be a free opportunity to understand the process of composting, a simple way to fuel plant growth and restores vitality to depleted soil. Kids Club: Pollinator Scavenger Hunt will seek to educate kids about species of ants, bees, beetles, butterflies, moths and wasps...pollinators that are responsible for assisting over 80% of the world's flowering plants! Kid’s Club starts at 10:00am and costs $5 per family.
