1. See a Flick Under the Stars
To kick off Summer Scene 2016, Boerne is starting to show varying family movies in the park at the end of each month (May and July have two)! Make sure to stop by this Friday at 6:30 PM to set up your chairs and blankets, pick up a movie snack, and enjoy the free entertainment before the movie starts! Usually there is a showing at the end of every month, but last Friday was rescheduled to May 6th due to wind. The movie showing tonight is honoring an American hero and his best friend, Max. The movie reveals a story about a U.S. Marine named Kyle Wincott who is killed in Afghanistan. Max, his highly trained service German Shepherd, is too traumatized and becomes very aggressive which results in his removal from service. Max is sent back to the U.S. to live with Kyle’s family. Kyle’s brother Justin takes the dog in and builds a strong friendship. As the story leads on Justin and Max unravel the mystery behind Kyle's death. Get the kids and check out this family-friendly and patriotic film.
