From totally classic vendors to quirky pop-ups, the Boerne Market Days have always boasted a special touch of style and flair. Shoppers and culture-seekers trickle in from all over the Hill Country to peruse the classic market and all its charm...and this particular month promises an extra dose of novelty! Stop by the Main Plaza for the "Elvis Jailhouse Rock and Roll" weekend, which will feature classic music from the 50's, 60's, and 70's.

The Main Plaza of Boerne has been the epicenter of business in the area since 1850. Now, on the second weekend of every month, Main Plaza transforms into a Texas Hill Country gem: a market that fuses art with business and music. The market features hundreds of booths selling artisan made goods, from jewelry to leather to furniture to clothing. Even if you aren’t interested in buying any goods, Market Days is a perfect way to immerse yourself in the artistic Hill Country culture, all while enjoying live music and delicious food. Vendors travel to this event from all over the state of Texas, so you won’t be disappointed by the variety!

When: Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Where: Main Plaza, 100 North Main

For Texans everywhere, Summer brings to mind plenty of water-themed childhood memories: running through sprinklers, dominating water balloon fights, or careening down that beloved slip-n-slide. If you were under the oh-so-false notion that these sorts of activities are just for kids, we recommend an inaugural Summertime trip to BEE Water Park! “Serious about fun and full of all kinds of awesome”, BEE is home to the full spectrum of aquatic adventure: water slides, trampolines, climbers, splash zones, and the ever-popular “blob”. Located on Boerne Lake, you and your friends and family can also take advantage to all the other activities this area has to offer, including swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, frisbee golf, and picnics.

When: Saturday, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Where: BEE Inflatable Water Park, Boerne Lake

4. Unwind with (Two!) Movies in the Park

Tired of the same Friday night dinner-and-a-movie dance? Ditch the movie theater or the tv dinner and experience a movie under the stars. You and your family will have two opportunities this weekend to breathe in the Summer air and enjoy some visual storytelling. On Friday night, Zootopia will be playing at the Pavilion Food Park. Besides free admission, the evening will include food trucks, playgrounds, and cold drinks! Rated PG, Zootopia was an absolute favorite film this year (scoring 99% on Rotten Tomatoes), proving hilarious and enjoyable for all ages. Later in the weekend, “The Roundup” Beer Garden & Food Truck Park is hosting another free family movie night, featuring free popcorn and hot dogs for kids. Tote along your blanket or lawn chair for the modern classic tale “The Princess Bride”.

When: Friday, 8:00pm; Sunday, 6:00pm

Where: The Pavilion Food Park, 826 Johns Road; The Roundup, 531 FM-3351 N
