The Main Plaza of Boerne has been the epicenter of business in the area since 1850. Now, on the second weekend of every month, Main Plaza transforms into a Texas Hill Country gem: a market that fuses art with business and music. The market features hundreds of booths selling artisan made goods, from jewelry to leather to furniture to clothing. Even if you aren’t interested in buying any goods, Market Days is a perfect way to immerse yourself in the artistic Hill Country culture, all while enjoying live music and delicious food. Vendors travel to this event from all over the state of Texas, so you won’t be disappointed by the variety! There’s something new for everyone every month.

3. Explore downtown Boerne’s sweet side on the Chocolate Walk

First, the annual Boerne Chocolate Walk is sure to be a sweet experience. This event invites participants to walk through downtown shops and galleries, collecting a different treat at each participating venue. Essentially, this event is a day downtown with a chocolatey twist. At the end of your trip, you also get the chance to win exciting prizes.
Just down the street, kids can visit the Library’s whimsical version of a Willy Wonka Candy Factory. Kids (and their adults) can taste the goodness with delicious candy science stations. This interactive experience is sure to be a win with kids and parents alike!

4. Sing along to your favorite tunes at Broadway for my Valentine
Are you looking for something unique to do this Valentine’s Day weekend? If the usual dinner and a show isn’t cutting it for you, might want to widen your horizons to include the Cave Without a Name! If a cave on Valentine’s Day doesn’t sound exciting and romantic, think again. Fredericksburg Theater Company is hauling down to the cave’s hit stage to perform some of Broadway's greatest hits during “Broadway for my Valentine”! With music from Oklahoma, My Fair Lady, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, and way more, this performance is sure to delight the Broadway fan in all of us.
A limestone cave about 10 miles outside of Boerne, Cave Without a Name has been designated a National Natural Landmark and is a member of the National Cave Association.
The gorgeous caves are open for tours during the day, and “The Queen’s Throne Room” stage hosts events throughout the year. The secret to the venue’s beauty is the natural dome acoustics. Listening to live music on this stage is an unparalleled experience.

It’s almost the middle of the month...which means Second Saturday Art & Wine must be approaching! Sure enough, this Saturday is the local evening devoted to helping you discover the art scene of Boerne. Participating local galleries will serve complimentary beverages and appetizers that you can enjoy while simultaneously enjoying the fantastic art. Whether you want to travel by foot or in the “Shabby Bus”, Second Saturday is always a treat. Better yet, this event is free and open to the public! Participating locations include Carriage House Gallery, JR Mooney Galleries, and Texas Treasures Fine Art among others. Austin Monthly Magazine recently named it on their list of fun things to do in the area!
