1. Experience Christmas at Herff Farm + the Farmer’s Market

The Cibolo Nature Center will be buzzing with holiday activity this Saturday! Besides the usual Farmer’s Market at the Cibolo, the CNC will host “Christmas at Herff Farm” from 10:00am-1:00pm! This holiday event will feature lots of opportunities for family portraits, photos with Santa, and way more festive fun. And, as always, the Farmers Market will offer up a wide variety of seasonal vegetables, herbs, and fruits locally grown by Hill Country farmers, as well as gourmet sauces, fresh poultry, farm fresh eggs, artisan coffee, fresh kolaches, organic personal care products, goats milk products, native potted plants, and more. Pick up a unique holiday gift or simply your week’s worth of produce! Besides shopping, market activities include live music, gardening and cooking workshops, and children’s crafts.

2. Stroll Through Boerne’s Christmas Market Days

Like to get your holiday shopping done early? Head to the “Boerne Christmas Market Days” on December 10th and 11th for your chance to claim unique local handmade gifts! From totally classic vendors to quirky pop-ups, Boerne Market Days have always boasted a special touch of style and flair. Shoppers and culture-seekers trickle in from all over the Hill Country to peruse the classic market and all its charm. Stop by the Main Plaza as it transforms into a Texas Hill Country holiday wonderland, complete with delicious food and festive music. The market includes hundreds of booths selling artisan-made goods, from jewelry to leather to furniture to clothing. Vendors travel to this event from all over the state of Texas, so you won’t be disappointed by the variety.
Bonus shopping tip: Late Night Shopping on Boerne’s Hill Country Mile will give you the chance to stroll the decorated historic Hill Country Mile under the starry sky! These extra hours (until 9:00pm) should give you plenty of time to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list.

It’s almost the middle of the month...which means Second Saturday Art & Wine must be approaching! Sure enough, this Saturday is the local evening devoted to helping you discover the art scene of Boerne. Participating local galleries will serve complimentary beverages and appetizers that you can enjoy while simultaneously enjoying the fantastic art. Whether you want to travel by foot or in the “Shabby Bus”, Second Saturday is always a treat. Better yet, this event is free and open to the public! Participating locations include Carriage House Gallery, JR Mooney Galleries, and Texas Treasures Fine Art among others. Austin Monthly Magazine recently named it on their list of fun things to do in the area!

With live Christmas music, hayrides, nativity scene, hand-made gifts, and an entire interactive area just for kids, this Christmas experience was designed to let you re-experience the true meaning of Christmas story with family. 5. Enjoy a Christmas Concert

Have you been playing your holiday playlist nonstop? The Boerne Concert Band is here to provide your ultimate Christmas music fix! Saturday’s free concert will feature both classic and modern holiday tunes. This group of volunteer musicians is becoming one of the best performing groups in Central Texas. Their mission is to provide a service to the community and local musicians through music, The band strives to develop a repertoire of music that is entertaining to audiences of all ages, as well as enjoyable to the performers.
