Boerne Bierfest is kicking off its inaugural event on Saturday, April 1st at the Main Plaza. For $30, sample 10 beers in a commemorative sampling stein from over 20 of the top craft breweries in the Lone Star State. Of course, Bierfest will be hosting German-themed bands, games, food, and more to keep everyone entertained throughout the day. Proceeds from the event go to the Boerne Village Band, the “Oldest Continuously Organized German Band in the World Outside Germany Itself” Purchase tickets here or at the gate.

2. Jump Around the Main Plaza
Looking for something to do on a Sunday to get the kids exhausted and ready for the next school day? Nineteen:Ten Church is hosting the annual “Jump In” event, a free day of jumping around and going wild! The Main Plaza will be filled with things like moonbounces and giant obstacle courses for the whole family to enjoy. Get some food, fun, and fellowship on the first Sunday of April.

3. Discover Native Plants

The Cibolo Nature Center is hosting its 27th annual “Mostly Native Plant Sale,” a community event designed to get residents familiar with the plant life native to us. Find yourself a true Hill Country plant to add to your garden, yard, or home. Meet professional growers and learn via demonstrations and presentations that will occur throughout the day.

4. Be a Diva
We’ve all got a bit of an inner diva, right? On April 13th, head downtown to flaunt what you got! Diva Night kicks off at 5:00 PM and will entail shopping, music, dining, and more sponsored by local businesses offering special discounts. Don’t forget to stop by the selfie station on Main Street! 5. Watch a Bollywood Performance
The final performance of the Boerne Performing Arts season in 2017 will happen on Friday, April 7th with Taj Express. This show is full of the sights and sounds of India, complete with all the exciting and vibrant things that have come out of the Bollywood entertainment world over the past few generations. 6. Celebrate Art in Boerne

The Boerne Professional Artists (BFA) is putting on the 21st Annual Parade of Artists the weekend of April 8 and 9. This wonderful weekend is designed to get art enthusiasts in front of some local art in Boerne. Go out on a self-guided tour of galleries, studios, and pop-up shops along Hill Country Mile in the arts district of downtown Boerne.

7. Go Way Back on a Museum Tour
Right behind Boerne City Hall is the Kuhlmann-King Historical House, an 1880’s gem built by an original German immigrant in Boerne. Go back to the past for an afternoon to see what things looked like in our little town back in the day.

8. See a Car Show
The Texas Corvette Association’s 25th Annual Open Car Show is happening the weekend of Saturday, April 22 in downtown Boerne. More than 300 vehicles will be on display for car enthusiasts to admire!

9. Grab Fresh Food at the Farmer’s Market

10. Learn How to Make Tinctures
On April 27, head over to the Cibolo Nature Center as they do a class on tonics and tinctures made from locally grown plants and how to properly prepare them for use. 11. Enjoy a Movie in the Park

12. Ride Horses on the Trail
The 17th Annual "Trail Ride and Horsin’ Around" is happening the weekend of April 29th, and all proceeds go towards keeping the Triple H Equitherapy Center doors open. Bring your own horse or rent one and head out on the trail to find some hidden treasures along the way. Live music and lunch provided! More information on the website.

13. Run Around at Pet Fest
At the end of April, the 2nd Annual Pet Fest will take place at Joshua Springs Park. Bring out the whole family for fun, food, shopping, and more! The animal shelter will be open for pet adoptions, and the new dog park will be open with agility equipment for training your furry friend. Don’t forget to go to the Parks & Rec Department booth to take a photo of you and your pet!

14. Visit the Tractor Pull

The Tri-County Antique Puller Association will host their antique tractor pull on April 29th in Boerne City Park. The event will feature 30 to 40 tractors, all made before 1960! Get a guided tour of the museum and see some demonstrations of blacksmithing. This is a family fun event, and all are welcome!

15. Hunt Some Easter Eggs
Boerne Parks & Rec, Police Officer Assn., YMCA, and Living Hope Church are partnering to put on the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Easter weekend. Festivities begin at 10:30 for kids to get a picture with the Easter Bunny, play some games, make crafts, and more. At 11:15 AM sharp, the egg hunt is on! Food will be available on site, so get out and enjoy a day of hunting.
