Great news, Boerne locals and visitors! The Sisterdale General Store has started to host weekly Friday outdoor movie nights! Complete with a 12 Foot movie screen and a 500-watt sound system, this event is sure to be a new Friday favorite! This week’s feature is The Big Lebowski. The film is about a laid-back average guy named Jeff Lebowski who insists on being called "The Dude.” However, Jeff happens to share the same name as a millionaire who has had numerous run-ins with the wrong crowd. This causes problems for “the dude” and sends him into a whirlwind adventure in Los Angeles. During the film, the Sisterdale General Store’s food truck will be serving delicious food such as burgers, pizza, and popcorn. So bring your blankets, beverages, and chairs, because this outdoor movie experience is sure to be one for the books.

This Saturday is especially exciting because Random is celebrating their collaboration with American Red Cross for their third year anniversary! This weekend Random is going all red to support Kendall County’s Red Cross and all the proceeds in ticket sales go to the organization. Those who purchase tickets will have exclusive access to 20 varying local breweries for taste test comparisons! There will also be live music so you can dance the night away. So, this weekend, have a great time and give back by joining The Red Cross at RANDOM!

The canyon contains 1,700 feet of Guadalupe River frontage allowing access for endless river activities such as fishing, swimming, and tubing. There is also 3 miles of hiking trails that showcase nature’s true beauty with diverse oak trees, juniper, cedar elms, and other incredible geological features. The canyon also has special wildlife observation blinds for the enjoyment of visitors. These blinds offer prime opportunities to observe and photograph birds, butterflies, and a multitude of wildlife. Bird watching is a local favorite at the canyon and The Cuckoo, Chaparral, and Cardinal blinds have seating, camera ports, and bird identification books.
