People love Boerne for the small town atmosphere, Hill Country views, and quaint downtown. However, Boerne also has far more to offer visitors and residents alike than many realize! Boerne is known for rich heritage, great location, and an active community, all of which are showcased by local businesses. No need to research, five of the best fun events to attend and businesses to visit in Boerne this week are described below. Hopefully this list will make planning a perfect Texas Hill Country weekend a little easier!

1. Experience the whimsical acoustics of Mischievous Muse

You’ve heard it before that Cave Without a Name offers swoon-worthy acoustics and a unique concert venue. But while most musical groups that come through the Cave’s signature “Throne Room” simply play a pre-existing set, the Axiom String Quartet is taking their performance a step further: Saturday’s performance of “Mischievous Muse” was specifically and uniquely designed for presentation in a cave. This musical story explores the concept of a muse: the source of inspiration for an artist. The evening’s music will flow from joyous to tragic to romantic with selections from Ernest Bloch, Paysages (Landscapes) for String Quartet; Bedrich Smetana, String Quartet No.1 From My Life; Leoš Janá?ek, String Quartet No. 2 Intimate Letters; and Ludwig van Beethoven, String Quartet op.59 No. 3. Featured musicians include Dominika Dancewicz and Ingrid Hunter on the violin, Nina Bledsoe on Viola, and Patrick Moore on cello.

The Axiom Quartet is a passionate and dynamic string quartet committed to presenting meaningful performances to wide audiences. The group specializes in experimentational music and unconventional venues...Cave Without a Name being no exception! Tip: arrive early! Food service will be available from Firehouse Fare before the show.

When: Saturday, 7:30pm

Where: Cave with out a Name’s “Throne Room”, 325 Kreutzberg Rd

Originally formed in 1884 under the direction of Professor Hoepfenerter after he retired from the German army, the Boene Concert Band carries on the tradition today, boasting over sixty active musicians, including several students from Boerne and Champion High Schools. The band seeks to present music to the community by reaching out to local schools to inspire students of music and the general Boerne community.
